We have booked a Children's Show to visit school on 24th November - Mother Goose. All children from Reception to Year 6 will be invited to watch. The costs of this special event - £550.00 - will be met from school funds.
Treat number two ... It's PARTY TIME on Wednesday 25th November. All children are asked to wear their own clothes (not school uniform). The canteen will be supplying a party dinner (we are asking everyone to pay for a school dinner please i.e. no sandwiches). Please note - those children entitled to a free school meal will not be expected to pay. We will supply lots of extras (crisps, pop, sweets etc) and we are planning... A DISCO!
Please note - Nursery children will be having a party in the morning or afternoon (according to which session they have).
Good behaviour and manners are ALWAYS rewarded in our school!
We will be raising money for Children in Need on Friday 27th November. We will be holding a no school uniform day - £1.00 donation please. Other special activities include a 'Heulfan's Got Talent - or Not!' competition - 50p to enter, a cake stall (donations of cakes/biscuits would be much appreciated), a raffle and lots more. Let's raise lots of money for this special and worthwhile charity!
Please check your child's hair on a regular basis as several outbreaks of head lice have been reported (in both the Infants and the Juniors). It is vital that everyone is active in checking for these unwelcome visitors; it is most unfair if a handful of parents are not checking and treating their child's hair.
Everyone must check regularly!
Please note our school is a SMOKE FREE ZONE! This means that smoking is prohibited anywhere on our school premises. Please do not smoke on our school yard; feel free to call in to school if you would like a copy of our Anti-Smoking Policy.
