The Welcome Given to Parents/Guardians

Our parents and friends of the school are warmly invited to become involved in the life of the school.

We encourage parents to become involved during the school day, assisting with various activities. If you feel that you could offer some assistance, please contact the Headteacher.

We regularly hold social and community activities to raise funds for the provision of equipment and for the part funding of trips taken as part of topics being studied. Without such help, we would not be able to boast such good resources in many areas of the curriculum.

During the course of the year there are three scheduled occasions when parents are invited for a discussion with their child’s class teacher. We also issue yearly reports on progress made during the year.

A monthly Newsletter is issued to keep parents up to date with events at school. All information, including newsletters is placed on the school notice board (in the main entrance).

Parents are warmly invited to Special School Services, Prize Giving Day, Concerts, Book Fairs, and Coffee Mornings etc. Families are very welcome at sporting activities – the encouragement of a team makes a huge difference!

It is important to note that parents are welcome to visit the school at any time to discuss their child’s education and welfare, or any problems they have. We do however ask that you make an appointment to see members of staff, as it is not possible for teachers to leave their classes during lesson time.

We are always encouraging and developing the partnership we have with parents.
We hope to have the support of our parents in all we seek to achieve.

We aim to work together to achieve a quality education for all!
