Forest School Sessions:

Please ensure that your child has an appropriate Forest School Kit in school: old trainers or wellies and old clothes suitable for the weather. As Mr Williams, our Forest School Leader says, “There’s no such thing as bad weather, only the wrong clothing.”

Miss Stapley will be supporting Mr Williams with Forest School this year … there will be lots of fun activities ahead.

P.E. Sessions: All children will need a P.E. Kit (white t-shirt, black or navy shorts, pumps/trainers) in school throughout the week. During the colder months jogging bottoms would be beneficial as we like to be outdoors as much as possible! Please label all items of clothing!

We will not publish days for P.E. as there is flexibility for the children to go out more frequently at this time. It is best if the children leave their kits in school (in their lockers) at all times please. Once the weather changes, the school hall will be used for P.E.

Reading – please encourage your child to read every night for at least 10minutes. Reading books will not be going home at the moment but the children will be doing lots of reading at school.

Mrs Eyke and Miss Lloyd will also be helping the children with their learning this year. Please let us know if you have any worries about your child as we are here to help.

Times Tables – when children can quickly recall their times tables they find Maths work much easier. Supporting your child to learn the times tables (from 2 to 10) will make a huge difference! Please speak to class teachers for further information, ideas and support!

Snack – for the Autumn Term, we will supply a snack and drink for every child. Costs will be met from School Funds.
