Oh, my! What a busy week we have had in 5L!!
We have become masters at calculating the area of a shape in Maths… some children even measured up for new carpet in their own shop for our Time to Shop topic!
In English, the most recent chapter in our novel, ‘The Nowhere Emporium’, ended on a bit of a cliff-hanger, so we continued the narrative ourselves, and I think what the children wrote was even better than what happens in the story! Well done, boys and girls!
In our Topic lessons, we’ve been looking at shopping locally and discussing the pros and cons and the children have impressed me with their out-of-the-box thinking.
We continued with ball skills in our outdoor P.E. lessons and the children absolutely blew my socks off with their outstanding effort.
On Thursday afternoon, we watched ‘Elf’ in preparation for our Christmas concert, and we became film critics, writing a review. Unsurprisingly, we all loved it!
We have now finished our Dance unit in indoor P.E. so started our new unit: Gym! The children were very enthusiastic and enjoyed our first Gym lesson. Da iawn pawb!
A big ‘diolch yn fawr’ to Miss Prince for putting up our lovely Remembrance Day display. The children worked exceptionally hard on these pieces of work, so we are very proud we are able to display them for all to see.
Have a superb weekend everyone, and I can’t wait to see you next week when I’m sure the Christmas countdown will begin in 5L!
