As part of our topic, “Marvellous Machines” we were visited by Nick from Junior STEM.
The children built a robotic car from Lego with lights, movement and a sensor.
Once they had built their base, they were able to decorate the car to make it personalised and ad Lego men drivers. They then programmed the car using an algorithm. This made the car move, produce sounds and flash it’s lights.
The children were so engaged with the activity and enjoyed every moment.
A comment from one of our parents was it “helped the children to understand that machines really are marvellous.”
