News: Reading Project for Key Stage 2

Dear Families

We are having a reading project this term in the Junior Department and would like to ask for your help please. We have spoken to the children and have asked that they read at home at least three times a week. They could read to you, older brothers and sisters, grandparents or other family members. All we ask is that you write a positive comment in their Reading Record when they have read to you. The reason for this is that we are giving the children incentives to encourage them to read by choosing something from the class Treaty Box, having extra playtime or extra Golden Time etc. This is a positive exercise and should be fun.

We would like to thank you in advance for your support both with this reading project and for our continued working relationship with our families in school. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Your faithfully

J Thomas Haigh
