We have had a very busy week. We started the week by getting a little treat and hearing a musical performance. We loved dancing around and singing along to the different songs. The following day, we got to watch Disney Cars, our chosen film to start our new topic, ‘Lights, Camera, Action’. We are now learning all about the different characters and focussing on descriptions. All of the children have started in ‘RWI’ groups, learning their letters and sounds and starting to blend simple ‘CVC’ words. If you need any support on the ‘RWI’ books we send home, please come and see me. In maths, we are starting to look at ‘one more’ and addition. This will be our focus for next week. I was really impressed with how well the children did in their first P.E session. We encourage the children to be independent in getting changed and they were all fantastic at ‘having a go first’. We have also participated in Outdoor Learning, which everyone loved. We got to explore our Forest School area and search for natural objects that were on our nature hunt checklist.
