Thank you so much to everyone who donated either food or money last week on non uniform day to support the Wrexham Foodbank. A member of their team came to pick up the food and a cheque worth £182.45 this morning. Three pupils from Year 6 helped load the food and presented the cheque on our behalf. We have received a lovely email this afternoon thanking us:
“Ysgol Heulfan’s donation to the Wrexham Foodbank is in, has been weighed and is currently being sorted for distribution to Wrexham families in need. Your lovely pupils, some of whom I met today, have collected an astonishing 132kg of food. This is currently our record for a school donation this year. Special mention to one of the pupils by the name of Ava – we found a donation of £5 in one of the bags. Please thank all your special students. We are grateful – families across Wrexham will have full bellies because of their efforts.”
