We have been very busy these last couple of weeks. We have been making stop motion animations in our topic lessons. The children were able to learn about popular cartoons made using this animating technique. They were then able to use the iPads and props made from Playdoh or items brought from home to create their short films. The children worked brilliantly in their groups and were able to think of some really creative ideas. We also began looking at the history of the camera. We started with a debate where the children came up with ideas for why cameras are good or bad. Then we looked at the history of cameras and photography, and created a timeline including key dates and pictures. The children have settled into Years 4 and 5 really well, and I’m looking forward to the next couple of weeks.
