News: Amber Weather Warning

Good afternoon. As many of you will be aware, an amber weather warning for snow has been issued across North Wales for Thursday. With this in mind, we thought some reminders may be useful. Please keep an eye on the school app as we post information here as soon as any decisions have been made – please avoid phoning school for updates. If there is snow before school starts, transport (for Y Canol, Mrs Dixon’s class and Cefn-y-Bedd) may not run. If it snows during the school day, transport may decide to collect the children early and again, we will post information on the school app. If families live in e.g. Brymbo, Summerhill, Brynteg etc. and snow has fallen, we understand if you make the decision for your child/ren not to attend school as parents must make their own Risk Assessment. We also understand if parents decide to collect children earlier than usual. If there is a snowy day, we ask that the children wear wellies, coats, hats etc. as we do like to play outdoors! We will do our best to remain open and will also do our best to keep everyone informed. Thanking you. Mrs J. Thomas (Headteacher)
