News: Christmas Plate Competition!

Good afternoon,

The children will be coming home with a paper plate this afternoon ready for our Christmas Plate Competition. The children can decorate their plate with something Christmassy in the hopes that their plate will be chosen to go on our special Advent Christmas Trees in the hall! There are some rules to follow when decorating their plate:

  • They should not write their name anywhere on the plate please, as the judging is anonymous.
  • There should not be anything that sticks out around the circumference of the plate so all the plates will look the same when they are turned over.
  • The design cannot be 3D to the point where the plate will not be able to lie flatly on its front – however, a very small amount of 3D is ok!
  • Please only use the paper plate that is provided by school as they all need to be the same in size and colour.
  • Please do not cut the plate – it must come back to us in the same shape as you received it!
  • The completed plate must be returned to school no later than Friday 29th November ready to be judged and put on the trees for the following Monday.

We will be turning over the plates one day at a time in our Assemblies and there will be a prize for the winning plate each day! We are all so excited to have our Christmas Plate Competition returning this year!

Many thanks,

All Teachers
